A lot with a little…

We are funded by (and grateful for) small grants from Thornbury Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council, occasional grants for projects from museum bodies, donations from Friends and from visitors, and by income from our small shop.

We pride ourselves on running on a shoestring…

No matter how tight our budget, our entire volunteer workforce is committed to keeping access to the museum FREE to all.

It’s a community museum, run by people from the community for the community.
