Thornbury Quilt

The museum has created a free permanent display about the Thornbury Quilt, which is kindly hosted by Thornbury Town Hall.  This is a snapshot of town life in 1900, the year the Quilt was made.

In the Town Hall, you can see not just the Quilt itself, beautifully exhibited in all its original bright colour, but an audio-visual display explaining the context and some of the content of the Quilt.   If you have an hour to spare, pop along to the Town Hall, draw up a chair and settle back to discover a fund of good stories about life as it was lived in the town in 1900.
