Happy Season’s Greetings to all!

Thank you, everyone, for the amazing support you have given us during 2025.

Our last day of opening before our winter closure is Friday 19th December 2025.   Just time to catch our  exhibitions on Thornbury as a Garrison Town and as a town that welcomed wartime child evacuees from the East of England, if you haven’t seen those exhibitions yet and want a break from Christmas preparations.

During our winter closure period, we’ll be stocktaking, carrying out our annual deep clean,  working on the collection, and preparing for future exhibitions.  We shall re-open on Friday 6th February 2026 and look forward to seeing friends old and new then.

Meanwhile, very best wishes, from all the volunteers at the museum, for a happy and peaceful festive season.
