Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Peace

There is currently a small display in the museum hallway commemorating the 80th anniversary of peace after the  Second World War.  This embraces both VE and VJ Day, as they were celebrated locally.

We shall keep the display there through the coming months, since we plan a larger exhibition later in the year about Thornbury in the Second World War.

We welcome people coming in to share their wartime memories and photographs of this area in the Second World War.
