And we’re off! …
For ten days we’re hosting three great local artists – and the museum’s wonderful front-of-house volunteers are pulling out all the stops to keep the museum open from 10am to 4pm daily from Friday 28 April to Sunday 7 May.
It’s all free – free to see the artists and their work, free to see everything in the museum!
Come along and have a chat to the artists – they’re very friendly. More details here….

For our young visitors!
If you can find all the little knitted mice that are hiding around the museum, you can choose one of these to take home.
Meanwhile, for Mum, Dad, Granny or Grandpa ….
… check out the story of the Roman coin hoard, dug up in a Thornbury garden
… enjoy the work of three local artists (in residence here for ten days in April/May)
… discover a very choice collection of old smoothing irons (from the days before you could just plug ’em in!)
… and (from 23 May) find out all about the art of Thornbury Castle and its over-powerful builder, Edward Stafford, Duke of Buckingham.
Something for everyone!
